"My wife and I ate at your restaurant for the first time last week during our yearly trip to the Destin/South Walton area, and I just wanted to tell you that we THOROUGHLY enjoyed it! Our friends and travel companions had dined with you the prior night (also their first time) and told us they enjoyed your restaurant. We had already made plans to eat at another prominent restaurant down the road, but after circling their parking lot 5 times looking for a parking place and then waiting 40 minutes past our reservation without any sign of being seated or receiving an apology, we left and came to your establishment. We were seated immediately, which was impressive enough on a Friday night. We thought we would have another long wait, but you have ample seating that is still spacious and not crowded or cramped. Our waitress was energetic and enthusiastic, extremely helpful and attentive, and very personable. The wine and martini menus were also very impressive, and I enjoyed the Seagrove Beach Breeze. The food was DELICIOUS -- the highlight of our entire trip was your quail and grits appetizer!! Even as southerners, we have never tasted grits that creamy and flavorful. We continued with the wood oven grilled grouper and the seared shrimp and cappelini (put that shrimp dish over the grits instead of the noodles and you would have a truly heavenly dish! although it was still quite excellent with the noodles.). The meal was finished with coffee, crème brulee, and banana beignets. I must say that my wife is one of the most picky crème brulee eaters I have ever seen (she admits this - I'm not telling on her!) and her face lit up when she took the first bite. She was so disappointed when she couldn't finish it because she was so full from the rest of the meal. I love bananas and banana desserts, but wasn't sure exactly what to expect from the beignets -- they were incredible!! Thanks for salvaging our one "date night" away from three kids for the week! We can't say enough praise about your restaurant, but will certainly recommend it to anyone we talk to who is coming down, and we will definitely make it a regular appointment for our annual visit as well!" -- Randy Grubbs

“Last week was the fourth annual trip for our college-friends-week-long vacation to Seaside FL -- what a great time had by all. We love visiting Seaside each year (we travel from Tampa FL, OK, AR, MO, and TX). On Friday night we ended our wonderful week with a special dinner at Cafe 30-A (a tradition we started the first year). Thank you so much for the wonderful food, wine, and atmosphere. Cafe 30-A is our favorite restaurant by far and it seems to get better every time. Thanks for making our vacation so special.
